The project manager is responsible for the implementation of strategic development projects and any other projects or initiatives as assigned. Specific responsibilities include using MTF methodologies and tools, schedule and budget development, resource estimation, risk mitigation, and management of internal/external communication.

 

Salary: $121,000

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the development, design, coordination, implementation, analysis, reporting and maintenance of strategic cross-functional project plans, including business case development, scoping, resourcing and lessons learned.
  2. Facilitate the review of new project proposals and project prioritization efforts to keep projects aligned to overall corporate strategy and objectives.
  3. Develop and maintain timelines, budgets and financial management, resource allocation, and coordination of project activities to meet the assigned project objectives.
  4. Lead and influence project team meetings to track the current state against milestones, overcome obstacles, and prioritize action items.
  5. Provide project updates to stakeholders and management personnel, such as phase gate reviews, meeting minutes, status updates, and identification and tracking of project risks.
  6. Collaborate with internal functional departments and, when applicable, external clients, regarding project plans to ensure transparent communication on project activities.
  7. Ensure the completion of project documentation in compliance with internal procedures, standards, and statutory requirements (e.g. Design History File, Design Dossier, etc.).
  8. Participate in the establishment of corporate-wide systems, procedures and tools that facilitate efficient project management throughout the organization.
  9. Assist on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a business related field, depending on the position requirements).
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a regulated industry (e.g. cGMP, medical devices, pharmaceuticals); 3+ years’ experience directly managing projects

Specialized Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Abilities

 

- Experience in project management, design control, risk management and quality systems.
- Demonstrated record of accomplishment in utilizing project management tools
(e.g. Microsoft Project) for scheduled development and project tracking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a matrix management structure.
- Strong analytical skills with and attention to detail required.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Operational knowledge within the respective department.
- Supply Chain - Internal and external supplier negotiation experience
