LIMS Associate

The LIMS Associate is an entry level role responsible for performing sample reconciliation, sample preparation and data entry into the LIMS. This role will communicate with cross functional departments at MTF to provide accurate, timely laboratory data and reports to facilitate FG release.

Monday through Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM

• Responsible for sample receipt and reconciliation of incoming laboratory samples.
• Responsible for logging samples into the LIMS and providing sample labels to end users.
• Performs lyophilization of samples prior to testing for BMP-2.
• Performs daily checks of laboratory equipment including ovens, incubators, hoods, shakers, and thermometers and enters results/documentation to equipment logbooks.
• Maintains retention sample inventory and destruction logs.
• Provide clerical support and assists with data computation in LIMS database.
• Assists with the retention and maintenance of QA / QC records in the laboratory.
• Performs data entry and verifies accuracy within the LIMS.
• Corresponds cross-functionally to communicate pertinent information regarding samples and test results to identify deviations, discrepancies, or non-conformances.
• Performs monthly calibrations on micro liter pipettes and/or thermometers.
• Performs data entry functions using the LIMS {Laboratory Information Management System), and associated Quality Management Electronic Systems.
• Responsible for maintaining paper and electronic files.
• Performs additional duties as assigned and trained.

• Associates degree in a Science related field or a Combination of Education and/or Equivalent Work Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Knowledge of GLPs/GMPs, statistical calculations, FDA regulations, and SOPs
