The Central Supply Technician is responsible for assembly and packaging of finished tissue packaging materials for shipment to contract sterilizer. Maintain MTF's quality assurance standards and compliance with ISO, AATB, TGA and FDA regulations. Maintain raw material and post-irradiated material inventory to prevent stock-outs, back orders, and production interruptions. Complete sterile packaging requests for QE and R&D within specified requirements and timelines.

 

Monday-Friday 7am to 3pm

Responsibilities

Procure designated tissue production and packaging materials in correlation with work order requirements, while safeguarding aseptic transfer into packaging area.

  1. Package materials using aseptic techniques according to specified work order and regulatory requirements.
  2. Aseptically transfer completed work orders to designated shipping area, complete final packaging for shipment to contract sterilizer, maintaining quality and compliance for all documentation.
  3. Maintain compliance and traceability of all finished good tissue production and packaging materials through all phases of the packaging process both manually (designated forms) and electronically (QAD).
  4. Generate and prioritize the production schedule based on order requests to prevent stock-outs, back orders, and delays to final tissue production.
  5. Evaluate and adhere to quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements for packaging and documenting time sensitive samples for R&D, Quality Engineering dose audits, validations, and other specified testing requirements/requests.
  6. Execute packaging for QE and R&D driven new final packaging material qualifications for new product launches to be incorporated into tissue production and packaging. Ensure work performed meets MTF’s quality assurance standards and is in compliance with ISO, AATB, TGA and FDA regulations.
  7. Execute transactions in QAD to ensure inventory accuracy for both raw materials and finished goods, including the initiating and closing of work orders.
  8. Assist with the development of lean processes, standard work, and process efficiencies in support of operations.
  9. Maintain open communication and collaboration across departments providing accurate information regarding production scheduling, KPI's, and inventory reconciliation.
  10. Support the Supply Chain and Material Handling areas in the maintenance and monitoring of both raw material and finished goods inventory levels via visual (Kanban) or electronic (QAD, Board) platforms.
  11. Ensure completion and compliance with all cleaning protocols and documentation as per OP’s and WI’s.
  12. Assist on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Associate's Degree

Years of Experience:  1 - 2 years

                                    Other:   Tissue Banking, Life Sciences, Central Sterile Supply, Central Sterile Processing or Surgical Technician; Production experience in a sterile environment in the pharmaceutical or medical field.

Specific Licenses and/or Certifications:   Other

                                    Other:   Certification in Central Service or Surgical Technician required within 1 year of employment.

Specialized Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be able to maintain a working knowledge of standard operating procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate as a member of a team.

Years of Experience:  Other

                                    Other:   Two years’ experience in Production, Packaging or Pharmaceutical industry.

Specific Licenses and/or Certifications:   Other

                                    Other:   Surgical Technician or Central Service Certification

Specialized Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Abilities:
