Overview

The Donor Log-In Technician is responsible for receiving, reconciling, logging in, storing and physically transferring incoming Quarantine Donated Human Tissue in designated area(s). This position works with Processing, Planning and Fresh Tissue departments to ensure adequate queue of tissue for production.

 

Wednesday - Saturday (8AM - 6:15PM)

$23.52 per hour

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the initial receipt, logging in and inspection of all incoming donors via Quick Courier.
2. Verifies information for data entry into DORA, QDDS, and Trinity Database.
3. Responsible for the initial receipt, logging in and inspection of all incoming Rolled-Recover Double Pass Skin from CTS via FedEx.
4. Retrieves donors, medical waste and unprocessed tissue from the NJOTSN suite.
5. Accurately identify donor criteria for Fresh Tissue processing and TGA requirements.
6. Perform tissue reconciliation and inspect tissue for accuracy.
7. Scans and e-mails Fresh Tissue information and serologies to the Fresh Tissue group.
8. Scans and e-mails Skin and Birth Tissue information to the Skin Team and Birth Tissue Team.
9. Scans pertinent paperwork into DORA Database.
10. Reconciles unprocessed and residual tissue from Fresh Tissue process and ships to the Olyphant facility.
11. Receives and inspects incoming IPBB donors from the Olyphant facility.
12. Responsible for shipment of all Incoming donors, Trinity deferred, Residuals, and sampled IPBB donors to the Olyphant facility.
13. Generate appropriate paperwork and labeling for each shipping requirement.
14. Scan grafts using the Digital X-Ray machine.
15. Ship blood tubes and biopsy specimens to the appropriate destination.
16. Handle rejected and research tissue on an as needed basis
17. Understand and follow all applicable Work Instructions, Operating Procedures, MTF policies correctly.
18. Verify accuracy of Donor tissue identification numbers in correspondence with all associated paperwork.
19. Identify when tissue is compromised, rejected, and update all appropriate paperwork and electronic information.
20. Perform proper line clearance to ensure accurate reconciliation of tissues for each Donor.
21. Tracks and logs tissue in database systems including QAD, DORA, QDDS and other databases.
22. Perform transfer in QAD of tissue received/shipped to accurately reflect physical location or transit destination, which includes running necessary reports to capture all tissue to be transferred.
23. Maintain supply levels in area to perform daily tasks. Reorder supplies as necessary.
24. Proper handling of REVIEW “Hold” tissue request(s).
25. Maintain accurate inventory of donors and perform physical inventory counts in the RM Quarantine Freezer, WIP Freezers, IPBB freezers, Fresh Tissue Refrigerators and In Transit locations.
26. Perform freezer and refrigerator cleaning and maintenance, and all other cleaning in the Donor Log-In areas.
27. Work in accordance with all ISO, FDA, AATB, OSHA, and DOT regulations
28. May assist as backup driver for Transport of donors, material and supplies between MTF facilities and outside vendors.
29. Assists on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

 

 

Degree/Diploma Program of Study Equivalent

High School Diploma/G.E.D. N/A Combination of Education and/or Equivalent Work Experience
Minimum Years of Experience Area of experience

1 Year working in a controlled environment, such as
Warehousing, shipping/inventory, manufacturing.

Other Working with Blood borne pathogens, PPE is required.
Other Must be available for after hours on call rotation including weekend and holidays throughout the year in the event of a freezer/refrigerator failure.
