The Business Systems Analyst partners with the business to identify, develop, and deliver IT solutions that drive significant efficiencies and improvements across the foundation utilizing various application platforms. This role is able to express the needs of the business to the development team, while communicating technical solutions in a clear and concise manner to the business

 

Pay Rate: $45.00p/h - $50.00p/h

Please note this is a temporary assignment 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, and document user requests/requirements through detailed software requirements, suitable for code development and for technology solutions and changes.
  • Quickly understands the user issues and data challenges of clients (internal and external). Identify strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement pertaining to software solutions.
  • Identifies critical issues with ease. Assesses the functionality and usability of new technology through high-level testing and works with the client to guide the design of the product.
  • Responsible for managing and communicating requirements to the solution team. This is done by understanding and representing the customer to the team through daily stand-ups, user stories, and prototyping.
  • Foster a strong and positive work environment that encourages creativity, while maintaining high caliber productivity. Coordinate with Product Managers to ensure prioritization of projects and changes. Collaborate with SMEs and technical teams to sequence work, develop implementation plans, and produce work effort estimates. Trains subject matter experts, trainers and end users on the Systems and changes to the Systems as required.
  • Formulate and document well-formed user stories with acceptance criteria. Understand how change to a component/application impacts the entire system and make recommendations for the logical design of system enhancements. Assist with UAT planning and execution using policies, procedures, and technology related regulatory practices (FDA 21 CFR 11 -validated systems, etc.). Ensure that requirements are implemented and tested per the acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure Pro activeness rather than Re activeness. Delivering high quality results in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting issues to investigate, resolve and escalate problems. Identifies the need for technical assistance to resolve issues. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks/projects. Responsible for consistently gathering feedback, analyzing trends, and using that data to improve the systems.
  • Perform system administrator functions within Systems. Develop and maintain Systems workflows. Maintain configuration of the systems and maintain system security through roles and/or rights administration. Take ownership of work to contribute to the company's success.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of business and systems analyst experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable communicating in new and unfamiliar environments.
  • Push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mind sets. Must be able to interact effectively with all tiers of the organization.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of the assigned applications and donation industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail required.
  • Fast learner who exhibits creativity and flexibility.
  • Energetic, self-directed, and service-oriented.
  • Capable of maintaining open communication with colleagues, peers, and staff.
  • Open to and supportive of ideas, issues, and needs of others.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and trending.
  • Proficiency in use of computer equipment required with advanced experience in windows environment. Understanding of the technical architecture of business applications and platforms.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and database driven reports.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities gracefully under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently meet deadlines & produce work in a timely manner.
  • MTF operates 24/7 /365. This position may require you to work some nights & weekends.
