Overview

The Training Supervisor for Organ Placement plays a critical leadership role in developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that directly impact the efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness of the Organ Placement and Triage team. This position is not only responsible for hands-on training delivery but also for the strategic planning and continuous improvement of training methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals.This Training Supervisor will oversee and manage the performance of the other trainers within the call center to ensure consistent and effective training delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver structured training programs for new hires and current employees, ensuring all Organ Placement Specialists and Triage staff receive high-quality education that aligns with best practices.
  • Conduct individual and group training sessions, adapting instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement advanced competency assessments to evaluate staff proficiency and performance over time.
  • Maintain training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide direct supervision and mentorship to trainers within the department, overseeing their work to ensure consistency and effectiveness in training delivery.
  • Develop and implement trainer performance evaluations, offering feedback and coaching to improve instructional quality and employee engagement.
  • Act as a liaison between trainers, trainees, and leadership, ensuring smooth communication and alignment of training objectives with organizational priorities
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and career development initiatives for trainers playing a key role in workforce development
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts, identifying gaps in training programs and implementing updates to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall effectiveness.
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership to refine training materials and introduce new learning technologies and methodologies.
  • Actively monitor and analyze training outcomes, using data-driven insights to optimize programs and address performance challenges.
  • Ensure that all training programs adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices, keeping staff up to date with any changes in legal or operational guidelines.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews by maintaining thorough training records and ensuring all employees meet required competency
  • Provide 24/7 training support for the communication center as needed, recognizing the need for training beyond standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency scenarios.
  • Assist in preparing staff to handle high-pressure situations effectively
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and work experience
  • 3+ years of training
  • 3 years of experience as a Transplant Coordinator, prefereably on behalf of Transplant Centers
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technical and business writing skills.
  • Strong customer service, conflict resolution and communication skills required Ability to work in a flexible environment effectively multi-task
  • Ability to problems solve and adapt to change quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to provide direction as well as constructive feedback. Understanding of adult learning styles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
