The R&D Intern will support R&D activities by conducting experiments and literature searches related to product and process development, processing allograft tissue forms based on protocols or SOPs, performing tissue/device characterization testing, and analyzing experimental data.

 

This role requires you to be on site in Edison, NJ 5 days a week. It will be a 37.5 hour work week. The Co-op will run from June 2025- December 2025. 

 

$25.00 p/h

Responsibilities

  • Participates in processing tissue, planning and performing experiments and analyzing results for Research and Development projects.
  • Process and/or optimize tissue protocols and prepare tissue samples for in vitro characterization.
  • Perform biochemical assays, mechanical testing, and other preclinical in vitro testing.
  • Execute and/or optimize test protocols to characterize new tissue forms using in vitro experiments.
  • Perform literature searches and compile summaries of all relevant information.
  • Research competitive products and continue to update competitive information libraries.
  • Maintains lab notebook and prepares data summaries and reports.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned and trained. 

Qualifications

  • Completion of at least one to three years college credit toward a degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and basic statistical degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational ability, good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with others.
  • Cell culture experience preferred.
